Mainland Campus Coffee Tasting Class: Green Coffee Defects
October 15, 2019 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
This intermediate level coffee cupping class builds on students’ experience in formal coffee tasting by introducing off-flavors caused by defects in green coffee.
This cupping class gives students a unique opportunity to experience defective coffee. Coffee professionals in regions where coffee is not grown rarely have the opportunity to directly experience the flavor impact of green coffee defects in the cup, but this is an essential area of knowledge for anyone who will be purchasing green coffee, roasting, or creating a cafe menu or marketing program.
This coffee cupping class is great for professional coffee roasters, coffee roasting enthusiasts, baristas, and anyone else with basic cupping knowledge who is interested in a deeper understanding of how green coffee characteristics contribute to cup quality.
