SUMMARY:IM Virtual Hawai’i Coffee Tasting (Private Event)
DESCRIPTION:Aloha Ingram Micro Friends!\nThank you for joining the PCR team in this online-version of one of our most popular classes that was recently featured in Forbes – a Hawai’i Coffee Tasting!\nYour private workshop is scheduled for Friday, December 11th from 8:30am to 9:30am PST.\nExperience the variety that Hawai’i-grown coffee has to offer in this 1-hour tasting. We’ll go beyond the famed Kona region and taste two coffees from your kit of four, which includes coffee grown in Kona, Ka’u, Maui, or O’ahu. This informal tasting is designed to introduce folks to the basics of building sensory skills in coffee. We will also discuss the history of coffee in Hawai’i, how the industry has changed and grown over the years, and where we stand today. Since you will be brewing your own coffee, we will also cover some basic brewing information & techniques and we will provide you with brewing recipes for each coffee.\nTo ensure all students receive their coffee samples before our workshop, please register by Saturday, November 14th. Registrants should expect a package to arrive to your door at least one day before our class* – it will include 4 coffee samples of 50 grams each along with an info card so you can learn a bit more about each coffee!\nMaterials needed for this class include:\n1 x Kettle (temperature-controlled is preferred, but not required)\n1 x Gram Scale\n1 x Burr Grinder (we will send you ground coffee if you don’t have a grinder at home – just let us know when you register!)\nYour preferred brew method & filters!\nIf you don’t own some of the above equipment, let us know and we can point you in the right direction or sell you some from our own stock!\nOnce you sign up, you will receive a link to join our video call via email, so please keep an eye out for that and check your spam folder if you don’t hear from us within 24 hours of reserving your spot.\nThis class is limited to your private group of 12 participants\nWe look forward to learning and tasting with you in this new way!\nIf you’re interested in taking other Virtual Workshops with PCR, check out our full listing of available workshops! ( https://pacificcoffeeresearch.com/virtual-workshops/ )\n*Pacific Coffee Research will be shipping via USPS. Please ensure the address submitted in your registration can accept packages from USPS. Special arrangements to ship via other courier services, including but not limited to UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. will result in additional charges. Mahalo for your understanding.\n
