Coming from one of our favorite farmer duos on-island, this fruit dried processed coffee from Karina & Armando at Aloha Star Coffee Farm was awarded 6th place in the 2021 Kona Coffee Cupping Competition!
*The first roast of this coffee will happen on Dec 1st*
We have been so honored to work with Karina and Armando, to watch them grow and emerge as one of the highest-quality coffee farms in Hawaiʻi and to continuously be recognized for their work through placing in the top 10 of our local cupping competitions since 2018.
This coffee is a beautiful representation of a fruit fried (natural) processed coffee. When our panel of licensed Q Arabica graders first tasted it – blindly – during the pre-screening round of the 2021 Kona Coffee Cupping Competition, we knew it was going to end up doing very well. And it did. It placed 6th overall in the competition with a score of 86.15, ranking high amongst some of the highest-scoring coffees we’ve ever seen in the competition!
Aloha Star’s fruit dried coffee is the perfect wintertime brew to serve alongside those classic holiday flavors. It compliments and reflects our shared meals during this season with tasting notes of candied pumpkin, dried cranberries, cinnamon, clove, and so much sweetness. We’re honored to be able to offer this coffee to our network. We hope you love it and that you also have a chance to share it with others.
We have a very limited amount of this coffee available and we don’t expect to carry it past January, so be sure to enjoy it while you can.
