Pacific Coffee Research is a Specialty Coffee Association Premier Training Campus, quality analysis lab, roastery, and Hawaii coffee education center in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

We offer specialty coffee classes and workshops for people at all levels of experience from home coffee enthusiast to seasoned professional.

PCR’s specialty coffee lab is located in Honaunau in the middle of the Kona coffee belt near hundreds of coffee farms. This allows us to seamlessly incorporate farm visits, lectures by local producers, and other unique and valuable supply-chain perspectives into each of our courses.

We offer classes and workshops for individuals and groups covering coffee knowledge such as pourover brewing skills, introduction to coffee tasting, espresso skills, and home roasting basics.

From beginner workshops, to custom corporate training, to multi-day SCA professional certificate programs, all of our specialty coffee classes are taught by SCA Authorized Trainers with extensive industry experience as baristas, coffee roasters, and professional coffee tasters.
