Join us on Monday, February 12th as we host CQI’s half-day class, Learning CQI Flavor Standards for the very first time! This is your opportunity to become familiar with CQI’s newest module in all Q Grader Courses using their standardized FlavorActiv capsules.
This class is designed to introduce the CQI Flavor standards to students. It accomplishes this by:
- Providing a basic understanding of how the senses of taste and smell function
- Introducing and practicing recalling 7 Flavor Standards generally considered to be Positive Attributes
- Introducing and practicing recalling 7 Flavor Standards generally considered to be Off-Flavors
- Conducting a practice test that is the same format as the flavor calibration.
- The attendee will learn how to prepare and recognize CQI Flavor Standards.
About the course:
This class is ideal for coffee professionals who are new to the world of CQI’s Flavor Standards. We will help you gain the knowledge, skills and understanding of Flavor Standards you need to find success in CQI Combo Courses & Calibrations as this is the newest module required in those courses. We will have access to CQI-standardized learning and flavor calibration tools and students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the class.
We will conduct a practice test that is the same format as the flavor calibration required for all Licensed Q Graders.
This 4 hour class is perfect for coffee enthusiasts or professionals looking to gain essential flavor knowledge and/or calibrate themselves for their Q Grader Combo Course.
