Established in 2008, Cooperativa Sol y Café represents nearly 800 smallholder farmers across more than 3,000 hectares and has earned national recognition, winning Peru’s Golden Cup quality competition in 2021 and placing in the top three in subsequent years. Members cultivate coffee within diversified agroforestry systems that promote soil health, shade management, and long-term sustainability, often alongside cacao and fruit production.
