Description
For those of us who love coffee, but don’t want the big caffeine kick, we have our mellow Moonrise Decaf. This coffee is grown by various smallholder farms in the Huila region of Colombia. It was decaffeinated in Colombia, using a natural decaffeination process called Decaf de Caña. This process uses a solvent of ethyl acetate, derived from fermented sugar, to remove at least 99.97% of the caffeine present.
While this coffee is not a dark roast, it does look oilier than our other medium-roasted coffees. This is due to the structural changes incurred through the decaffeination process.
Our Moonrise Decaf is delicious as a filter coffee or espresso beverage.
