Tahitian Lime Gesha, Kona Farm Direct (Special Release)

Kona Farm Direct is a 4.5-acre family farm in Hōlualoa run by Kraig and Leslie Lee, who have been growing Kona coffee for over three decades. The farm is home to a range of rare and heritage varieties -SL34, Gesha, Moka, and Mejorado among them- alongside an extensive nursery where Kraig propagates new plantings for his own farm and for producers across the island. He also maintains a small section of Liberica trees used as rootstock for grafting arabica, and regularly assists other Hawaiʻi producers with post-harvest work, earning him a reputation as one of the state’s most inventive processors and mentor to many growers. Kona Farm Direct has taken top honors across the specialty scene in recent years, including the #1 rank at the 2021 ACE Hawaii Private Collection for their SL34, 1st place at the 2022 Kona Cupping Competition for their Mokka, and the highest price for any U.S.-grown coffee at the 2025 Dubai World of Coffee Auction.

This microlot is an experimental Gesha co-fermented with Tahitian limes grown on Kraig’s own farm. In his own words: “Pulped Gesha combined with pureed Tahitian limes from a blender. Fermented for 80 hours in a plastic bag anaerobic with pitched yeast.”

With only ten 5-ounce bags available, this release is a rare chance to taste one of Kraig’s newest process trials.
