This coffee comes from MauiGrown Coffee’s Kāʻanapali Estate on Maui, home to one of the rarest coffees grown anywhere in Hawaiʻi. Maui Mokka traces back to old Yemeni seed stock, brought to the estate decades ago as part of an early experiment in growing unique coffee varieties on the island. The tree and its fruit are small and delicate enough that hand-harvesting is the only option.

Since the 2023 Lāhainā wildfires destroyed MauiGrown’s green coffee warehouse, storefront, and part of their mill, Maui coffee has been difficult to come by and this is Maui’s first re-release of Mokka! We’re grateful the farm has rebuilt and that we’re able to offer this coffee again, in very limited quantity, while supplies last.

Giving back: As in our previous run of this coffee, we will continue to donate 25% of all sales of MauiGrown Mokka to the Nā ‘Aikāne o Maui Cultural Center, a space vital to the preservation and continued teaching of Native Hawaiian culture, language, and practices that was lost in the fires.
