In this 2-hour class, we’ll cover the basic principles of coffee roasting including definitions, measuring points, and connecting color and flavor to roasting time and temperature of the roasting environment. This is a thorough introduction to the basic concepts of coffee roasting through lecture and practical sensory application. The day ends with a roast levels tasting.
