Hawai’i Coffee Tasting: Exploring Hawai’i Growing Regions
Join us on Thursday, January 19th at 10am as we experience the variety that Hawai’i-grown coffee has to offer in this 90-minute tasting. We’ll go beyond Kona and taste four different coffees from Kona, Ka’u, and Maui. This informal tasting is designed to introduce folks to the basics of building sensory skills in coffee simply by intentionally thinking about what we’re experiencing and tasting in the cup! We will also discuss the history of coffee in Hawai’i, how the industry has changed and grown over the years, and where we stand today. Students will have access to some sensory learning tools while learning from seasoned coffee sensory professionals.
